With Juno Smart Collar function meets fashion. We set out to improve upon the functionality of a traditional smart collar, while elevating the aesthetic and overall user experience. With its universal design, Juno can be used on pets of all shapes, sizes, and breeds, ensuring that they can always find their way back home.

Logo & Brand Identity

Our goal with the design of the Juno brand was to strike the right balance between luxury and approachability. The final brandmark and design system has a sophisticated and refined aesthetic with a touch of playfulness.

The Juno brand symbol was designed as a location icon which symbolizes the Juno’s primary brand purpose which is to ensure that owners always know where their pet is.

The Device

Juno was designed as a 2-part assembly. This allows the user to remove and charge the tracking pod without having to remove the entire collar. This 2-part design communicates that both parts are important for the product to function properly and that the collar is incomplete without the puck, similar to how a pet owner is incomplete without their best friend

The Packaging

Our objective was to design premium and sustainable packaging for an engaging and layered unboxing experience. To achieve this, we employed a square box with rounded edges to convey approachability, and used eco-friendly paper pulp for the materiality. Additionally, we included a small treat in each package to add a touch of surprise and delight for the customer.

Packaging Exploration

The Juno app provides 24/7 monitoring of pet's whereabouts, ensuring that if they wander off, owner’s will receive an immediate notification on their phone directing them to their exact location. From there, owners will be able to easily navigate to their pet's location and bring them home safely.
